4 women who built the 20th century history

  • Norma Jean Mortenson, Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962) is one of the erotic myths of the twentieth century. It is said that he had an affair with brothers Robert and John F. Kennedy. His death remains a mystery today, generating many stories about it.
  • Marie Curie (1867-1934): One of the most outstanding of referents of modern science, she was the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Physics, an award she won in 1903 with her husband Pierre and researcher Henri Becquerel. His studies on radioactivity were essential for the progress of science
  • Frida Kahlo (1907-1954): An accident that forced her to wear a corset made this Mexican woman start painting, for which she met her husband, Diego Rivera. He painted mostly self-portraits of surreal tint. One of the best-known painters of the 20th century.
  • Mother Teresa of Calcutta (1910-1997): Her 87 years of life were an example of dedication to the most disadvantaged. The nuns of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity that she founded became the best support for the poor, sick and dying of the Indian city of Calcutta. In 1979 she received the Nobel Peace. Pope John Paul II beatified her after her death.
